Winter reminded us this morning that it is still around! We had low temperatures near freezing in the Nashville metro area and we are not going to rebound much through the day. Significant cloud cover will be present providing little movement in our temperatures, going for a high of 45º.

Flood Advisory
Due to the amount of rain received yesterday and overnight, a flood advisory for the Nashville area is still in effect until further notice.

This is off and on rain that’ll last through the day. Rain should total around 0.06″ to 0.12″, so not much. No flooding concerns.
We have one more dry day left, and luckily it will be sunny and warm! High pressure is still in control of our weather pattern but will soon slide to the east, allowing a return southerly flow to kick in. Temperatures today are expected to bounce back into the lower and middle 60s areawide.

The sun will be shining Saturday and highs are expected to be in the mid to upper 50s. The sunshine will hang around for Sunday, and the highs will be slightly warmer, climbing to the mid 60s. Lows are expected to drop to freezing, or even slightly below, Saturday night. We are seeing more seasonal conditions this weekend. Warmer temperatures in February appeared to jump start vegetation growth, so frost could be impactful. So if you’re ahead of most of us in spring planting, you might want to cover those plants Saturday night.

Flood Watch until Noon Thursday
Flood Watch in Effect
A flood watch has been issued for all of Middle TN from this afternoon until noon Thursday. 2 to 6 inches will be possible causing localized flash flooding and further rise on area rivers, stream and creeks. Please remain weather aware today and tomorrow.
One last day of that full on sunshine as things will change tomorrow. Highs will reach into the 70s with a light breeze through the day.
