Pleasant morning ahead: 63, gradually warming to 83. Does not get much better than this in mid-June. The cherry on top is a slight breeze we’ll have all day. As The Intern, I’ll be allowed 25 minutes to drink sweet tea by the pool. Then I have to wax Will’s Jeep again.

Today, heat indices reached 100+. The last time it was this hot it was August 8, 2012, which was 308 days ago. Still going to be a VERY warm evening, at midnight 80 is the forecast temp. Almost unbearable outside and no rain relief tonight.

At 3:53 p.m. today, we reached 92. Hope you’re spending time in the air conditioner. Tonight won’t be cooling off too much either: 80 is the forecast temp at 10 PM.
Wall clouds descend from rotating storms. Tornadoes often come out of them. Some wall clouds don’t rotate. Those that do are God’s way of warning you a tornado may be imminent. Here’s a chronological collection of several (but not all) of the photos you all sent in of today’s rotating wall cloud, which set off this afternoon’s tornado warning in Williamson County. We do not have any reports this produced a tornado.

appears favorable for a cluster of storms to evolve in one or two bands that could include embedded supercells/bowing segments with large hail and . . . especially later this afternoon . . . damaging wind.
