Cold Front Brings Heat Relief & Possible Rain Chances

Today – Official High 93

Today, heat indices reached 100+. The last time it was this hot it was August 8, 2012, which was 308 days ago.  Still going to be a VERY warm evening, at midnight 80 is the forecast temp.  Almost unbearable outside and no rain relief tonight.

Thursday – High 87, Slight Chance for Thunderstorms

Muggy morning with 75 to start the day. A weak cold front will push through in the morning hours.  A few weak showers and thunderstorms can’t be ruled out when the cold front is making it’s way through, which is why the NWS has posted a 30% chance for thunderstorms.  Right now the timing looks to be between 7 AM – 9 AM.

Expect a little wind with clouds if it does not rain as the front moves on by. This means temps will fall to a more manageable level, with highs back into the mid to upper 80s. Overnight is not looking too shabby, either: temps fall back into the 60s.

Saturday – High 90, Sunny

One last cool morning at 63, then the heat and humidity begins rebuilding.  No rain is in the forecast.
