Sunday Night–Monday Morning Dusting? Ummm, yeah?

A few minutes ago about an hour ago I was watching basketball (on mute) and Season 2, Episode 10 of The West Wing (“Noel,” one of the series’ best) when I ran across this run of the NAM3 model:

Usually I take the NAM3 with a grain of salt, but yeah, that’s rain tomorrow afternoon turning to wintry precip/snow late Sunday night into Monday morning.

So here I am listening to Pearl Jam (the official music for March snow chances) looking to make sense of it. read more

Cloudy with an Outside Chance of Showers Today, Sunshine Returns on Monday

Cloudy Skies Today, Uncertainty with Showers Over the Next Two Days

A blanket of clouds currently sits over much of Middle Tennessee. Expect clouds to hang around throughout the day.

We’ve been talking about shower chances for the past few days now and luckily we may stay in the clear today. Showers are currently set up to our south and both the HRRR and NAM3 have them staying there. We still have the outside chance of a scattered shower, but no washout is expected for today. read more

Dry Friday, Weekend is Wet, But Models Not Agreeing On How Much

Warmer Day On the Way

A southerly breeze will bump temperatures into the middle 50s today, and while some clouds will be passing through, there will be enough sunshine to get us there. It’s Friday! Sunny Skies this Weekend, Rain Expected Monday

Hi everyone, my name is Caroline Sleeper and I am a freshman at Mississippi State University. I am a Professional Meteorology major with an emphasis in Broadcasting!

Sunshine this Weekend

The sun will be shining Saturday and highs are expected to be in the mid to upper 50s. The sunshine will hang around for Sunday, and the highs will be slightly warmer, climbing to the mid 60s. Lows are expected to drop to freezing, or even slightly below, Saturday night. We are seeing more seasonal conditions this weekend. Warmer temperatures in February appeared to jump start vegetation growth, so frost could be impactful. So if you’re ahead of most of us in spring planting, you might want to cover those plants Saturday night. read more
