Today is the last dry and (mostly) sunny day we will have until Sunday, so make sure to get outside and make the most of it! The high temperature will reach 81°. It may also be a little breezy with warm southerly winds at 10-15mph, though gusts could reach up to 20mph.
Pleasant conditions will persist into Wednesday as an area of high pressure continues to bring sunny and dry weather. Temperatures will remain above normal with lows tonight in the mid 50°s and highs tomorrow right around 80°.
We were off to a cool and dry start this morning due to a cold front that moved through this weekend. Winter decided to show itself very briefly, reminding us that it is still April. However, this did not last long as temperatures should rebound quite nicely as we move into the afternoon hours.
The line of rain and thunderstorms has officially pushed off to our east. The chance for showers and thunderstorms still linger; however, we are not concerned with any of them being severe. They are also not expected to bring a lot of rain either.
Severe weather stayed south of us early this morning. Great news.
Another round of showers is possible late morning/early afternoon but storms are unlikely. Very little additional rain is forecast.
Thus the two rounds of storm potential was just that, potential, thankfully.
We start out the day with showers thanks to a new system out of the Southwest, some of these showers will be heavy at times. Get ready for an off and on rainy day.
The HRRR is showing scattered rain and thunderstorms possible throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Here is the latest HRRR model (below), showing these scattered showers push off to our Northeast around 7PM.
The showers from this morning have all moved out. The sun will make a few appearances this afternoon and warm us up to around 72°F.
For this evening we should stay dry with temps dropping down to the mid 50s, leaving a nice evening for some Friday night plans!
A beautiful, sunny, warm, and breezy afternoon will give way to increasing clouds with showers and thunderstorms late tonight into tomorrow morning as a cold front swings through. We can expect high temperatures to reach the lower 80s today and tomorrow, which is around 10° above average for this time of year. We will also see some sunshine, adding to the beautiful spring weather.
It is an absolutely beautiful afternoon out there today! As you can see in the map below, most places in our region are in the mid and upper 70s with abundant sunshine. These conditions will continue into the evening with temperatures topping out right around 80 degrees. Skies will remain mainly clear overnight as an area of high pressure moves into the region bringing light winds and near normal temperatures with lows near 50 degrees.
