Just a few clouds, no rain, no humidity. Great football weather.
Southwest winds will increase through the day, blowing in clouds Monday afternoon and evening. Conditions aloft might even support an occasional thunderstorm or two as a weak wave stretches across Middle Tennessee.

Overnight, and into the wee hours of Sunday morning, we’ll reach the 40°s.
Clear skies overnight, radiational cooling = early morning fog likely, in the usual spots.

Officially, at the airport, we got 0.58″ of rain.
Infrared satellite shows the clouds will be clearing out today, too.

This afternoon’s storms announced the arrival of the cold front. Storms were briefly angry:

Winds that were south at 5 MPH at 8:53 AM turned north at 8 MPH by 3:53 PM (by then, 0.43″ of rain fell). The cold front is here.

Another warm and muggy day is in store for us. Tonight looks like a mess. Hey, at least it is Friday!
The high temperature today will be 81° as clouds arrive later this afternoon.
Why? Well, an upper level shortwave will be swinging through today into Saturday morning. At the surface there is cold front beginning to make its way into Tennessee. This frontal boundary is expected to sweep through tonight, and it’s the reason it going to rain tonight.

We shot up to at least 86° (the high isn’t “official” yet), so not so Octobery.
Clear tonight.
Few more clouds will work in as Friday’s cold front approaches, but it’ll still get pretty hot.

A beautiful day is in store for us on this hump day.
Expect a mostly sunny sky with temperatures in the upper 80s. Dew points will stay in the upper 50s this afternoon = comfortable.
High pressure is keeping things dry for today and tomorrow.

We’ll continue to keep a few clouds around tonight, as temperatures fall to the low 80°s.
So, not an overly cool evening by any means, but dew points will still be ‘ok.’

Low 80°s, no rain, Monday through Thursday.
The reason: a ridge is bossing our weather.
A surface low pressure system will spin across the Great Lakes, dragging a cold front behind it. This low will be centered waaaay too far north to cause us any strong/severe weather problems. There’s a chance of maybe some thunder, but the main impact will be some rain.
