Rain Chances Friday; Cooler Air Arrives Saturday; Drought Monitor Update

Beautiful Day Ahead

High temperature for Thursday? 83°.

Skies? Mostly sunny, though we could see a few showers later.

Here’s the HRRR model. Any chances of showers will be in the late afternoon/evening hours. Most of you shouldn’t see one, and if you do, they will be light and brief. read more

Rain Chances Return on Friday, Along with Some Cooler Weather

Another nice fall day for Wednesday

Today’s weather looks fantastic with a high in the low 80°s and manageable dewpoints.

Perhaps a few clouds lingering around ahead of the next system coming to our area. Other than that, it should be a pleasant fall day. read more

Kick off the weekend with rain.

Last night I got a bit chilly and said I was ready for summer to return.

IDK if I’m ready for lows the 40s this weekend. I hate the cold. At least we’ll get highs in the 80s Wed-Fri.

Clouds slow to roll out today. Pretty nice week ahead. Until the weekend anyway. read more

Rain Ending Today, Nice Through Friday, Another Cold Front This Weekend

It’s going to be a gloomy, but much needed, rainy afternoon and early evening.

Rain will remain scattered and continue with us along this cold front into this evening.

Here’s the latest HRRR model:

Here Comes the Rain!

A good soaking rain arrives tonight through Monday morning.

Most of this rain will fall between 7 PM Sunday and 7 AM Monday.

Rain should be mostly/completely over by lunchtime Monday.

Then the Cold Front Sweeps Through

Humid air will be swept away, as dewpoints dive from the upper 60°s to lower 50°s in about 12 hours. read more

Rain, Few Storms Sunday; Titans Gut Feels; Rain Monday; Fall Temps Next Week.

95° Today Ends String of Heat Records

This broke the old October 5 record, 92° set way back in 2018. (We tweeted a high of 94° earlier today, then we made it to 95° at 4:26 PM).

[T]oday was the 99th day of 90+ degree days. Yes, we’ll pull up just short of 100 90+ degree days and we also never got to 100 degrees on the mercury. I guess that’s little saving grace with all of the records we have broken in the last month. read more

Warm and Beautiful Weather, Then Rain (gasp).

Beautiful Day Today

We’re seeing some great weather today as blue skies abound. We’ll get to 92º without a cloud in the sky. It’s possibly the last 90º day as these blue skies yield to rain when a cold front approaches. read more

The Weekend Mostly Great, Cautious Optimism for the Titans Game, then Fall Slides into our DMs

Saturday’s high is 90°, two degrees shy of the October 5 record from 2018. Humidity will increase through the day.

Kinda summery Saturday night ahead of our first real rain event in weeks. Few models even want to pop off a few showers, IDK, maybe that’ll happen but nah. Will check this again in the AM but I’m unimpressed. read more

Fall Officially Moves in this Weekend; Chance of RAIN Sun thru Mon(!!!); Drought Monitor Update

Summer is Still Here… For Now

Thursday: hot and dry… again. How hot? Well, we’ve already broken the 116 year old record for today, which was 92°. This graphic from the pre-dawn hours gave us a forecast high of 97°. NWS is now thinking 99° at BNA with even the possibility of….well, you know…

Dewpoints will be in the lower-60s. Not bad but still a little humid.

Cool, Hot, Then Fall Moves In

We finally drop below 90° Friday, though a ridge returns Saturday bringing us back into the 90s. Good news?

“However, that should be the last day of afternoon high temps 90 or above for the considerable future.” @NWS-Nashville read more
