More Tolerable Temp + Humidity Combo, Rain Returns Wednesday Night

We finally have no heat-related headlines to discuss today.

Our “cold” front has moved thru, and while it isn’t cold, it will be noticeablely cooler the rest of this week.

High temperatures will mostly be confined to the low 90s, with the exception of Wednesday. Dewpoints will be more tolerable in the mid to upper 60s – compared to the low to mid 70s we’ve been dealing with. read more

A couple more days of dangerous heat to get thru, before we return to our regular August heat.

An Extreme Heat Warning continues today thru 7p. Actual air temperatures will make a run at 100°, with heat index values peaking near 112°. Please, continue to take it easy in this heat. Grossly Hot Week, Conditional Storm Threat Today/Tonight

The main headline for this week continues to be the gross, dangerously hot temperature + dewpoint combination.

High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s, nearing 100°. With dewpoints in the low to mid 70s, heat index values will be in the 105-109° range. Our Heat Advisory continues thru Friday evening and will likely be extended into this weekend. read more
