I neglected to wish you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In which case, feel free to pinch me now.

If you are headed out tonight to celebrate in good Irish fashion, take a light jacket. Temperatures will dip into the middle 50s by 9PM.

Today has been just as beautiful as we could have hoped for. Through the night we may get the occasional cloud to pass by, but for the most part we should be able to see every star in the sky.

Tonight into early Wednesday morning, there is a chance for a few scattered thunderstorms. Some of the models develop the storms. Others do not.
If anything does develop in this weak-to-moderately unstable environment over our area, then we are talking about…
Current Radar
The rain from earlier has left our area. Clouds will clear through the rest of the afternoon into the evening hours, allowing our temperatures to drop into the overnight hours (overnight clouds trap the heat of the day).

Severe and tornadic thunderstorms are now ongoing in Arkansas and approaching Memphis. Those storms are expected to weaken by the time they cross the Tennessee River, reduced only to a few weak thunderstorms and rain by time they reach here early Monday morning. The HRRR model illustrates this weakening.

SUNDAY: Lots of clouds. High 73 Low 58
It looks like hit or miss rain will be mostly a miss on Sunday. Keep an umbrella, rain jacket, or anything else that can keep you dry close by just in case.
Current Radar
Into tonight expect to see rain showers beginning between 4 PM and 5 PM. Once the rain starts, it doesn’t look like we will get many breaks from the rain. Just some periods of lighter or heavier rain.
Current Radar
Into tonight expect to see cloudy skies with the occasional drop of rain into the early morning hours tomorrow. Rain chances will remain under 50% through the night and increase into the morning hours. Areas to our west have higher chances of rain throughout the night. Winds will be calm through the night.
Current Radar
The rain has begun. Be careful and take your time on the way home from work and school this afternoon…heavy rain and a few embedded thunderstorms will be around through about 8PM.
Rain will then continue off and on throughout the weekend with Saturday morning looking to be the best chance to escape the rain for a little bit.
