Expect a repeat performance today and tonight with clear skies across the region and temperatures running about 5 to 10 degrees below normal which may again result in patchy frost tonight, particularly across the Plateau.
Today we should reach into the low 60°s with clearing skies as last night’s rain moves out of the area.
This is thanks to a cold front. The wind is pretty cold, though.

Today’s weather is glorious. But, first, a word from our sirens.
Many of you heard Metro’s tornado sirens blow at noon today. You were like, “it’s not Saturday.” That would be correct. The Office of Emergency Management tested the sirens today as a part of the system upgrade. The gist of this upgrade is that the only sirens that will activate are ones located inside the tornado warning. Good times!
We’ve got a great one on tap for us for Columbus Day. Lots of sunshine with temperatures climbing to near 75 ° for the high.
That’s pretty much all there is for today.
Another kinda chilly morning (51°), then afternoon high 77°, with clouds building as the day progresses.
Low lying areas got frost early Sunday morning. Some almost freezing; I’m no privacy violator but I think Nick lives in Will Co:

Today is real and spectacular.
High 70°, nice + 1° for those of you following along Twitter yesterday (maturity level: questionable but acceptable on Twitter’s somewhat anonymous forum).
But first, a rain lament.

Rainfall overperformed.
0.30″ at BNA wasn’t too far off from forecast, but some community observers saw 0.40″ or (much) more:
You’re probably going to need that rain jacket if you have any evening plans.
The NAM3 shows showers being more scattered than the HRRR, but still pretty concise on timing:
Not a complete washout tonight however. Only expecting around 0.16″ of rain from this, but will definitely soak the ground.
High temperature for Thursday? 83°.
Skies? Mostly sunny, though we could see a few showers later.
Here’s the HRRR model. Any chances of showers will be in the late afternoon/evening hours. Most of you shouldn’t see one, and if you do, they will be light and brief.
Today’s weather looks fantastic with a high in the low 80°s and manageable dewpoints.
Perhaps a few clouds lingering around ahead of the next system coming to our area. Other than that, it should be a pleasant fall day.
IDK if I’m ready for lows the 40s this weekend. I hate the cold. At least we’ll get highs in the 80s Wed-Fri.
