Another nice fall day for Wednesday
Today’s weather looks fantastic with a high in the low 80°s and manageable dewpoints.
Perhaps a few clouds lingering around ahead of the next system coming to our area. Other than that, it should be a pleasant fall day.
I am so happy that summer has left. Cooler weather should be here to stay.
Clouds build-up ahead of our next shot of rain
Another great day Thursday with a high in the mid 80°s.
It’s not incredibly likely, but we might see a few pop-ups here and there. Not sure of any direct impacts around Nashville. They have more:
Similar development shows up on Thursday as well, with some showers popping up mainly in western zones during the afternoon. For now, kept the forecast dry but would not be surprised to see an uptrend in guidance for afternoon pop up showers and storms, and eventually enough confidence to increase afternoon pops.
NWS-Nashville, Forecast Discussion, 10/9/19
We should be in the clear here for the most part, unless some pop-ups to our west survive long enough and make it our way.
More rain for Friday and into Saturday
The next system will be moving in on Friday. Long term models are still uncertain on the exact timing at the moment, as well as the specific impacts.
So far it looks like our best chance of rain will occur between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning.
Along with these rain chances will come much cooler weather. A rather impressive amount of cool air should overtake much of the country and it will be noticeable! Like woah, that’s beautiful after all of this heat we’ve had this summer.
