Clouds have arrived! We are going to see more clouds today than previously thought. Here’s what you’ll notice about the temps when you step outside later this afternoon: 55°! SSW winds, which could be a tad gusty, will bring in warmer air that will help us get up into those mid-50s, but the lack of direct sunlight will keep it from feeling quite as glorious. Hey, we’ll take it, for sure! If the clouds do manage to squeeze out a few sprinkles of rain, it will be a negligible amount.
The precipitation is over but the cold air is sticking around. Wind chills will keep us feeling near/below freezing.
With clearing skies overnight, temperatures will fall to 20º Tuesday morning.
Add that north wind and . . . Bundle up!
After some flurries this morning, our skies are clearing nicely, however, those temperatures will struggle to rebound over the 40º line.
After a mostly clear day, temperatures will nosedive into the middle 20s again. Winds will be out of the west at around 5 PM, then turning south after midnight.
Dry air and cooler temperatures are going to be the story of the week for us here in Middle Tennessee. Expecting a high of 46º with the passage of a dry frontal system today. This front will just sweep a reinforcing shot of cold air through, no precipitation will fall.
Scattered showers this morning will give way to heavier rain this afternoon, perhaps with a bit more coverage area. We are not expecting any severe weather, however, a few rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out.
We are looking at a very chilly day ahead. Only expecting a high of 41º to occur in Nashville; some spots may not even make it out of the 30s. We will see some high clouds, however, nothing in the way of precipitation.
A nice warm-up is underway today with sunny skies and a high temp forecast at 52°. Tonight, we fall to 33°.
High pressure is our main weather driver this holiday week. Drier conditions with warming temperatures will follow suit through tomorrow.
After a stellar weekend, a weak cold front (Editor’s Note: expertly drawn by Alex) is beginning to drop into Nashville, bring some isolated showers with it for the next several hours. These light showers will progress eastward as the day rolls on; not much in the way of rain is expected. No big deal if you forgot an umbrella or you left it you don’t know where.
Today is the rebound day! The bitter cold is coming to an end (for now…). A high pressure is beginning to build in across middle Tennessee bringing calm weather with it.
It’s influence on Nashville will remain noticeable through the weekend. Temperatures are going to be on the upswing through most of the weekend. These temperatures will be more seasonable for this time of year.
Today is the day everyone has been waiting for. Is it going to snow?!
The short answer: it’s looking a lot less likely than what we have been seeing in the previous model runs leading up to this event. Before that threat, let’s get through today first.
