This morning’s showers are going to hang around for a few more hours and that is going to keep our high temperatures well below average for this time of year.
We will top out at 51º this afternoon, however, that will not be right before sunset as usual. The high temperature will occur right before the passage of our latest frontal boundary between 2-5 PM.
A wet and cool afternoon is the story of the day here in Nashville. We are still watching the light rain traverse the area from west to east. High temperatures will struggle to reach 60º this afternoon with cloudy skies overhead. The rain will be exiting by midnight. Keep an umbrella handy through the day.
With clouds around, our afternoon high is only going to reach 54º here in Nashville.
Rain is approaching from the west, but should mostly break up before arrival. Still, the HRRR model thinks there’s a chance of a passing shower tonight:

No weather concerns today and Tuesday. Yesterday’s front made today’s weather tranquil, with high-pressure dominating the pattern. Clear skies today and tomorrow with temps approaching 70º today and 80º tomorrow.
Low clouds and light pockets of rain are going to be the story of the day.
The low-pressure system that brought us the rain yesterday (or lack thereof), is moving up the eastern seaboard and bring the rain with it. In the words of NWS-Nashville, it will be “gloomy and drippy” today, highs in the 50s.
Today will be our last quiet day weather-wise before clouds and rain move in for an extended stay. Highs today should be mainly in the middle to upper 60s.
We are still watching what is now the remnants of Hurricane Willa over Mexico. What’s left of that system will redevelop into a surface low-pressure system that will track eastward along the Gulf coast Thursday and Thursday night.
Well, we were just about freezing this morning! Literally!
We got down to 34º at Nashville International Airport. Just 2º shy of reaching the freezing mark. Many local areas did hit freezing, as recorded by personal weather stations.
We’ve made it to Friday! Much of the day will be clear with temperatures in the mid to upper-60s. Clouds will being funneling in later this afternoon in advance of a cold front that is set to come through tomorrow. With those clouds, come rain chances.
Fall is finally starting to settle in, in middle Tennessee!
We are going to continue the pattern of below average temperatures today with highs getting into the lower to middle/upper 60s. As of 3:00 pm, we’re at 68°, pretty close to the average high for this time of year, which is 69º.
