This morning’s showers are going to hang around for a few more hours and that is going to keep our high temperatures well below average for this time of year.
We will top out at 51º this afternoon, however, that will not be right before sunset as usual. The high temperature will occur right before the passage of our latest frontal boundary between 2-5 PM.
A wet and cool afternoon is the story of the day here in Nashville. We are still watching the light rain traverse the area from west to east. High temperatures will struggle to reach 60º this afternoon with cloudy skies overhead. The rain will be exiting by midnight. Keep an umbrella handy through the day.
Rain is expected Thursday morning. There’s a very low possibility of a tornado.

Low clouds and light pockets of rain are going to be the story of the day.
The low-pressure system that brought us the rain yesterday (or lack thereof), is moving up the eastern seaboard and bring the rain with it. In the words of NWS-Nashville, it will be “gloomy and drippy” today, highs in the 50s.
Today will be our last quiet day weather-wise before clouds and rain move in for an extended stay. Highs today should be mainly in the middle to upper 60s.
We are still watching what is now the remnants of Hurricane Willa over Mexico. What’s left of that system will redevelop into a surface low-pressure system that will track eastward along the Gulf coast Thursday and Thursday night.
Fall is finally starting to settle in, in middle Tennessee!
We are going to continue the pattern of below average temperatures today with highs getting into the lower to middle/upper 60s. As of 3:00 pm, we’re at 68°, pretty close to the average high for this time of year, which is 69º.
