We still have that slight chance of rain throughout the day into the evening. Any rain will be very light and brief.
The pesky winds will continue into the early evening staying around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

The wind machine remains “on” this evening out of the northwest, 10-15 mph gusting to 20 mph. These winds should finally settle down overnight.

Winds begin to turn out of the southeast tonight, which means a little more warmth and moisture are on the way. This will set us up for rain potential tomorrow.
Lows overnight tonight will be in the mid 40s.

Temps will drop steadily through the rest of the afternoon into the evening. Eventually dropping into the low 40°s to upper 30°s. Winds should remain between 5-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

We start off nice, but a cold front will bring cloud cover and a slight chance of showers after noon. The rain chance looks very low. The GFS model shows no rain. The pro-rain NAM4 model, below, shows very little:

Expect to see more clouds develop through the rest of the afternoon into tonight. Temps will stay in the 50°s until a little after midnight before dropping into the upper 40°s.

Too much cloud cover this morning, insufficient dew points, and unidirectional wind profiles are among the reasons we didn’t gett tornadic storms today. They were very close. That storm to our SW, then S, was rotating pretty well (it may have dropped a tornado, NWS will confirm later), although it did lose its oomph when it got closer to I-65.
