Tonight: Rain Chances Diminish, Pushing E of I-65 – 9PM 77°

Update: So far today, convection has been slow to begin along the I-65 corridor in our two counties. Most activity is staying south and east of Davidson and Williamson Counties.

However, a few showers and storms still remain possible this evening for our area. Anything that develops will  have the potential to produce heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. The HRRR Model may be overdoing it a tad, but here’s a general idea of what radar could look like for the next few hours. read more

Tonight: Showers/T-Storms Become More Widespread – 9 PM 80°

Well, those showers have begun to arrive and will be in and around our area through the rest of the afternoon as we head into the evening hours.

With these showers and thunderstorms, there is no particular pattern to where storms will develop. These storms are very random. For the most part, storms are traveling in a general Southwest to Northeast direction. read more

Tonight: Storms, Some Strong/Severe Possible – 9PM 78°

Update: Scattered storms, some severe, are in the area now, and could continue for the remainder of the evening. Damaging winds, hail, and flash flooding are the main concerns.

The HRRR doesn’t have a great handle on the situation, but it is shown below to indicate that we will dry out by about midnight. Expect temperatures to stay mild (70s) and the air to remain muggy. read more
