That system will bring us a chance for rain this evening, though the majority will stay south of us, along the southern state line:

Tuesday morning looks cool (upper 40°s), but we will warm to 60° by noon and top out around 68°.
Rain is on the way Tuesday evening.
A precise arrival time cannot be reliably known. Currently we think the rain will begin around 7 PM, as shown above. You may end up chilly and soggy, but there’s hope to get in your soccer/baseball/other games Tuesday night.

High pressure moved in behind the low pressure system responsible for yesterday’s rain, clearing us out and keeping us cool.

Late This Afternoon and Evening – Big Storms Staying North, but Will Head Our Way After Dark
What a difference a day makes… Yesterday we had an enhanced risk for severe weather, but today we have been downgraded and placed on the border of a Marginal risk. The environment is most unstable to our north, and that’s where the strongest storms have stayed this afternoon, more around the orange bubble:

With the Country Music Marathon, Franklin Main Street Festival, early wedding season, ball games, etc., it’s a busy time for everyone. We’re in the middle of severe storm season, and we may have something to worry about. Not sounding any alarms, but it’s time to raise awareness, and worth putting up this extra update today.

The cold front that moved through Middle Tennessee has brought drier conditions. It will not last.
Tonight will be the coldest of the week with temps dipping into the lower 40’s. Patchy frost is possible overnight into Friday morning.
