High Pressure, Yes Please!

Starting today we will finally transition back into a sunshine filled period. With this sunshine will also come a spike in our temps with highs expected to reach into the upper 80s. Our dew point temps will be in the mid-60s through the weekend. It could feel a bit sticky, but it won’t be too bad. read more

A few showers continue this morning, but the good news is that we expect sunshine to return this afternoon! Temperatures will react appropriately, nearing 80°F for a high today. The remnant low pressure system over the Ohio Valley will take clouds and rain with it to the northeastern U.S. this weekend. Irma’s Rain & Wind: What To Expect

Summary

  • 1.5″ to 2″ Monday afternoon through Thursday afternoon is most likely; most of it falling Monday night into Tuesday morning. Flash flooding cannot be ruled out, but it is not expected.
  • A Wind Advisory goes into effect Monday at 7 PM until Tuesday at 7 AM for winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Expect a few trees down, isolated power outages possible, and hazardous driving conditions.
  • Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are not currently a concern.
  • This does not look like a repeat of Harvey, but stay connected to reliable weather information as this storm approaches.
