We are definitely feeling nice after that cold front swept through!
High pressure is moving on in which means drier air will stay in place today through the overnight.
The northerly winds are bringing in cooler air. Yay for no heat index! The dew point will stay in the upper 50s.

The lower humidity and pleasant temperatures will make for a nice evening.
As high pressure gets settled in, we will stay rain-free:
Lows tonight will drop into the low 60°s.
Tomorrow will be our reward for this week of rain and storms. It’s going to be awesome.

The Storm Prediction Center has our area under a slight risk for this afternoon and evening. The main threat will be damaging winds and heavy rainfall. The hail and tornado threat are very low.

When will it end? The HRRR model thinks the rain blob will expand west, before finally pulling east and shutting off the spigot around dark:

High pressure centered in NC in the morning is expected to spin rain N, up I-65°, for the morning rush hour. HRRR model is particularly wet:

It will be another wet day for us.
Showers should be moving through in the morning and afternoon.
If the HRRR is right, the bulk of the rain should be moving through from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Garden-variety summertime storms have been firing all morning to our south and southwest, getting mostly western Williamson County. These have been very slow moving, but they are drifting west and away from us.
