From Great, To Good, To Meh, Then Great Again

Current Radar

Today – Pleasant – High 85°

We are definitely feeling nice after that cold front swept through!

High pressure is moving on in which means drier air will stay in place today through the overnight.

The northerly winds are bringing in cooler air. Yay for no heat index! The dew point will stay in the upper 50s.

There will be a some high clouds throughout the day.

SaturdayWarming Up – High: 87°

Temperatures are climbing into the upper 80s through the weekend.

As for the heat index – its going to feel like the upper 80s as humidity arrives.

Can’t rule out a stray shower after 2:00 PM, but the rain will stay well south of us.

Sunday – Showers & Storms Possible – High: 88°

A complex of showers and thunderstorms may be pushing through our area in the morning into the afternoon. All of this is in advance of an approaching cold front. I would not be surprised to see a few thunderstorms. Some of the forecast soundings for Sunday afternoon suggest strong storms are possible.

The humidity will be back in full force – it is going to feel like 92° by 3:00 PM.

Don’t get too uncomfortable though. A cold front will sweep across our area Sunday evening into Monday morning.

Temperatures will be affected after the front. Drier air will be the story going into the work week once the ridge begins to build behind the front.

Extended: We will kick off the work week with below normal temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. Check out the low on Monday night! You will be waking up in the upper 50s! Sunshine returns as a ridge of high pressure builds in after the front passes. Eating outside for lunch would be an awesome decision!
