Today and likely Sunday are likely the only dry days in the next seven days, how nice….
Today won’t be the prettiest day, but at least it’ll be rain free. If you step outside now, it’ll be the “warmest” you’ll be all day as temps will gradually fall, ending up around freezing late tonight.
A rainy pattern begins today as warm, moist air moves in. Temps near 60º. Scattered showers are drifting around, but nothing substantial will fall today. Over the next few day significant rain will fall. Let’s get into it.
Was flipping through some TV Channels last night and ran across Bree Smith saying that Thursday (today) is the only day in the 7 day forecast that is free of rain chances. She’s exactly right. A rainy pattern is a’comin. But, details are pretty sketchy.
Now that the rain has moved east, the cold front that caused our story day yesterday is causing temps to plummet.
Stepping outside this morning, it feels like a typical fall day. Reason being is the warm front we’re expecting to lift north and eventually get to us is still in southern Mississippi. Temps and dewpoints will eventually get to the 60’s later this afternoon.
Today will be quite nice, seasonal temps, no rain besides for maybe a drizzle this morning. Sun should peak out later.
Tomorrow we turn our attention to a system that we’ve been watching for a while.
Windy start to the day as both of our counties are under a Wind Advisory. May need to tie down some Christmas decor, also heads up Titans special teams…it’s coming from the SW.
Could see some drizzle this afternoon/evening. Won’t be much, but just enough to notice it. Below is what the HRRR model thinks.
At the mere mention of a football game in a tweet yesterday, two guys in our timeline have been going at it with each other in the replies about why their team is better. But, I’m just here to tell you if it’ll rain or not.
Rain amounts in last night’s sprinkler barely registered. The big winner was five hundredths of an inch in southern Davidson Co. Most much less than that. That was to be expected.
Our next rainer will bring more rainfall Saturday night. Sometime around or after dark, rain will move in from the SW. Could even get a few lightning strikes out of the heavier rain cells. Loved seeing your pics of yesterday’s sun dog. It was one of the more brilliant ones we’ve seen around here.
