Cold but Dry

This morning it was 28º outside. Guh. Frost was prevalent any outdoor plants that don’t tolerate freezing conditions will be goners after this weekend.

At least we stay dry this weekend. But, temps will struggle to get to the mid 40s. We could easily see overnight lows in the teens. Time to prepare by dripping faucets and all that stuff your parents told you to do. read more

A Typical Fall/Winter Week Ahead

Oscillating between cold and colder and grey skies and sun is pretty typical for us this time of year.

The warmer temps we’ve felt the last few weeks are a distant memory when you walk out the door today. The cold has set in. We’ll have plenty of sun today, but temps will struggle to make it into the mid 40s thanks to a stiff wind from the NW. At least it isn’t Blerg. read more

Today… Blerg again. It’s our official unofficial term for Temps below 40 with no sun. That’s us today.

We had 70s on Thursday and 60s yesterday. Today and tomorrow we’ll struggle to get into the 40s. Sun will return tomorrow but evening temps will be below freezing. read more

Precipitation

We woke to water falling from the sky. As of posting this, we’ve gotten more than an inch of rain at BNA. We have a bit more rain left this morning before it moves east and the sun comes out. Below is the HRRR through 1pm Friday. read more

Clouds Slowly Clearing Sun-Mon, Sun Returning Tuesday

Some patchy fog is possible this morning. A boundary in place will keep the low clouds over us. This boundary is a bit of a deviation from yesterdays forecast. The clouds hang around until Monday. A few passing showers aren’t out of the question, but no organized rain development is expected per the HRRR (below). read more

Warm and Sunny, Then Rain, Then Warm and Sunny

The headline says it all. Today is a glorious weather day. Upper 70s to low 80s, abundant sunshine, and it’s Friday. Cocktail on a patio type of afternoon and evening. You earned it. EDIT: It might be windy. read more

Warm and Sunny Today and Most of Saturday

A north wind kept us cool yesterday. Today we warm up into the low 70s and we’ll see very little cloud cover. Clouds begin building in on Saturday around noon. After that, our weather takes a bit of a turn. read more

Dry Through Friday Night, Then Rain Returns

Ahead is a fantastic couple of weather days with sunny skies and warming temperatures through Friday. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s will make for a nice end to the work week.

Saturday, things start to change. Rain comes in on a low pressure system along with a chance for thunder storms. Nothing severe is expected at this point and rain won’t be constant. The Euro Hi Res (below) is estimating about an inch of rain through Sunday night. read more
