This weekend will be lovely with temps comfortably in the 50’s. Only difference is Sunday will be a few degrees cooler. No rain. (or snow). Perfect weather for outdoor Christmas decorating.
After temps dipping down into the mid 20’s Monday morning, we should get a break from below 32° until sometime next weekend. Temps will gradually warm up to the upper 60’s by the end of the week. Next rain event looks to be sometime on Friday, and yes, it’ll just be rain.
There is a cold front sweeping through our area this morning, attempting to squeeze any moisture it can out of the air, trying to defy the no rain forecasted. But who’s to say this rain even reaches the ground? There is some fairly dry air above the surface which may be negating this rain. Even if the rain does successfully make the journey from the clouds to the ground, it would just be enough to make the ground wet, and it will be well on its way out of here, making way for a beautiful weekend.
Not to sound like a broken record, but…
It is anyone’s guess where and when these showers will pop up, if at all. The HRRR gives it best guess on today and tomorrow.
Regardless if you get a shower or not, it will be hot and humid, so try to limit time out in the sun and drink plenty of water.
Fog this morning mixed out fairly quick. Here comes another day of hit or miss showers/storms and a little less heat than the past few days.
Similar to yesterday, storms should start popping up sometime in afternoon, then slowly start to dissipate by sunset. It is entirely possible you don’t get any rain today, but if you do, a storm could contain some heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. A storm or two could contain microburst winds, similar to what parts of Nolensville saw yesterday. Microburst winds cause damage to low-end tornadoes. They are can be difficult to warn on because they occur between radar scans. No organized severe weather or tornadoes are expected today, or the next few days.
First things first, smoke and haze will continue today, as shown below, which has warranted an Air Quality Alert for both counties.
For the first time in a few days, our counties are not under a Heat Advisory, but it will still feel very hot and humid. Actual temperatures will be in the mid 90’s and dewpoints in the upper 60’s, which will lead to the heat index being in the upper 90’s. Make sure to drink plenty of H20 and limit your time in the direct sun.
