Say Goodbye To Your Snowman, and Hello To Rain

Temperatures will climb above 32 degrees at around 10 or 11 AM for the first time in a few days, allowing for some serious melting to begin, aided by the sun. It will take a while for all the ice and snow to melt. Melting occurs at different rates so there may still be slick spots, but today will be a dramatic improvement. read more

Much Needed Calm Weather

We are all done with rain and severe weather. If you are waking up to any damage, tweet a picture of it with the location using #tspotter. Storm surveys will be conducted again today to determine where we had tornadoes vs. where we had straight line wind damage. We will tweet updates as that information comes in. read more

Warming Trend, Staying Dry

This weekend will be lovely with temps comfortably in the 50’s. Only difference is Sunday will be a few degrees cooler. No rain. (or snow). Perfect weather for outdoor Christmas decorating.

Break From Freezing Temps and Precip

After temps dipping down into the mid 20’s Monday morning, we should get a break from below 32° until sometime next weekend. Temps will gradually warm up to the upper 60’s by the end of the week. Next rain event looks to be sometime on Friday, and yes, it’ll just be rain. read more

About As Good Of Weather As You Can Get

There is a cold front sweeping through our area this morning, attempting to squeeze any moisture it can out of the air, trying to defy the no rain forecasted. But who’s to say this rain even reaches the ground? There is some fairly dry air above the surface which may be negating this rain. Even if the rain does successfully make the journey from the clouds to the ground, it would just be enough to make the ground wet, and it will be well on its way out of here, making way for a beautiful weekend. read more
