Why? Well, an upper level shortwave will be swinging through today into Saturday morning. At the surface there is cold front beginning to make its way into Tennessee. This frontal boundary is expected to sweep through tonight, and it’s the reason it going to rain tonight. read more

A surface low pressure system will spin across the Great Lakes, dragging a cold front behind it. This low will be centered waaaay too far north to cause us any strong/severe weather problems. There’s a chance of maybe some thunder, but the main impact will be some rain. read more
