Update: So far today, convection has been slow to begin along the I-65 corridor in our two counties. Most activity is staying south and east of Davidson and Williamson Counties.
However, a few showers and storms still remain possible this evening for our area. Anything that develops will have the potential to produce heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. The HRRR Model may be overdoing it a tad, but here’s a general idea of what radar could look like for the next few hours.

Well, those showers have begun to arrive and will be in and around our area through the rest of the afternoon as we head into the evening hours.
With these showers and thunderstorms, there is no particular pattern to where storms will develop. These storms are very random. For the most part, storms are traveling in a general Southwest to Northeast direction.

By sunset, our rain chances will be rapidly diminishing. Only one or two pop-up showers are possible before then.

Edens, who died from wounds suffered April 15, 2012, in Laghman province, Afghanistan, when his unit was attacked with small arms fire.

Clouds won’t cover us today like they did yesterday. More sunshine will mean more heat.
The dewpoint should settle around the mid 60°s, which means high humidity. Affix hairdos accordingly.

Rain chances are expected to move further east very late tonight as an upper level ridge strengthens over our region. A few more showers could impact the region through evening, but otherwise will be mild and relatively uneventful.
