Current Radar
Special thanks to our tech guys for getting us back up and running.
Tonight: Clear Skies – 9 PM 75°
Fairly clear skies as we head into the overnight hours. Temps will drop through the night into the upper-to-mid 60s.
Current Radar
Showers will continue through the rest of the day and continue to gain strength as we head into the late afternoon and early evening time frames. Expect for rain/thunderstorms to be more off and on, not one solid line that will move through.
Editor’s Note: It’s Memorial Day.
On Memorial Day, we honor those who died in military service. Longtime readers know that as long as we are doing the weather, we are going to remember Army Spc. Jason K. Edens, who died from wounds suffered April 15, 2012, in Laghman province, Afghanistan, when his unit was attacked with small arms fire.
Current Radar
Update: Scattered storms, some severe, are in the area now, and could continue for the remainder of the evening. Damaging winds, hail, and flash flooding are the main concerns.
The HRRR doesn’t have a great handle on the situation, but it is shown below to indicate that we will dry out by about midnight. Expect temperatures to stay mild (70s) and the air to remain muggy.
Current Radar
Fantastic night to follow the fantastic day.
*Update: Air quality is not going to be good tomorrow. We have been placed under an air quality alert stating:
“A code orange air quality alert for ozone has been issued. Ground level ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. The general public is not likely to be affected. Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.”
