It was a half Blerg today, clouds finally cleared out this afternoon – but temps remained cold, hardly making it above freezing.
Wednesday will be slightly “warmer” with highs in the low to mid 50s. We could see a few sprinkles (liquid) Wednesday evening that make you turn on the windshield wipers a couple of times, but nothing more than that.
Although clipper systems can sometimes overperform, expectations are low with this one.
Up to 0.1 – 0.2″ (basically a dusting) of snow possible throughout the evening, mostly confined to elevated surfaces/grassy areas. Impacts to roads look unlikely.
“We expect some light accumulations tomorrow afternoon mainly north of I-40 and east of I-24 as an upper trough swings across Middle Tennessee. Despite high pressure building in at the surface, there does appear to be enough moisture and lift aloft to product some light snow with accumulations up to 1/2″ possible.”
The title really says it all. Not much else ongoing.
You may see a couple of flurries tonight, but they’ll splat/melt as soon as they hit the ground. Certainly, no accumulation for us.
Most mornings below freezing, some getting way down into the low 20s, maybe even some upper teens.
Most everyone last night (with the exception of Metro Nashville and BNA) got below freezing last night. Tonight, we likely won’t be making any exceptions, with lows getting down into the low to mid 20s.

Although dry, today will be fairly cool with temperatures staying in the 40s all day. Good excuse to put on your flyest winter fit to impress the fam.
We will all likely drop below freezing tonight, the first freeze of the season – which will also set the record for latest Fall freeze. Congrats to us?
Showers will continue to move across the area thru the overnight hours, just some showers, although a few could be on the heavier side. No severe or winter weather concerns. HRRR model gives its best guess below.
The busiest travel day of the year (Wednesday) will be dry until the evening, when some light showers move thru. HRRR model shown below loops from Wednesday evening – Thanksgiving morning.
The HRRR, and most other models have come to the conclusion that besides maybe a few quick showers during the morning, Thanksgiving Day looks dry. Good news for all the Turkey Trots, backyard football and turkey frying.

There may be just enough instability to squeeze out a rumble of thunder or two, but generally speaking, most of the activity should be light. No worries.
Monday will be our last warm day we have for the foreseeable future with highs getting into the upper 60s.
Light showers are expected to move thru the area Monday afternoon + evening, mostly evening. Not expected to be a big deal.
