Expect much of the same hot conditions for the next couple of days, with the exception of Thursday and beyond, when temperatures could drop into the 80s due to cloud cover. We will start to feel the effects of additional moisture as dew points rise into the 60s. A chance for a spot shower or storm will start Thursday and continue into Saturday.
This week’s afternoon temperatures will be above average, with highs during the day pushing 90°F+!
High pressure is in control of our weather through midweek, so not even a pop-up shower can form to cool us off.
That will change this week. Highs will approach 90° each day, Tuesday expect 91°, gonna be hot.

Showers continue to hang around much of Middle Tennessee this afternoon. While thunderstorms are still possible, no severe weather is expected.
HRRR, displayed below, keeps scattered showers through the early evening and has the rain completely out of our area before midnight.

There’s that slew of rain! High resolution models are in fairly good agreement with the arrival of 11PM-1AM of heavier rain and embedded storms.
Our temps will be pretty warm through the remainder of today and into tomorrow with highs topping off in the mid to upper 80s. Make note that our dew points will begin to creep up a bit today, reaching into the low to mid 60s. While the heat will still be very manageable, we will be starting to get into that sticky feeling category.
Wednesday will be another day of sunshine and temperatures well into the 80s…approaching 90ºF! Clouds will be on the increase by evening, ahead of a developing system that takes hold late Thursday.
First things first, for today, there is a slight chance that a small shower could sneak in this afternoon or evening. While this chance is very slim, and most of us probably won’t see anything, if you win the rain lottery just know that the shower should be very brief and should not rain out any outdoor plans you may have.
