More and More Wattery Chances, Localized Flooding Possible

Can’t seem to shake the daily Wattery chances – we can blame the moist, soupy airmass for that.

Each day thru the middle of next week will have:

  • chances for showers/storms – mostly in the afternoon + evening
  • no one knows exactly when/where they may pop-up
  • lightning and heavy rain possible with any storm
  • localized minor flooding possible with some of the heavier rain – watch out for ponding on roadways
  • no severe weather concerns, but maybe some gusty winds in some storms

Lower rain chances Saturday, higher chances Sunday + Monday – but chances exist every day. read more

Heat Advisory Canceled Early, Rain Wednesday, Cooldown Starts Thursday

The HRRR model (above) shows the storm complex to our NW falling apart, with maybe some of us getting some rain. If a storm does surprise you, heavy rain, lightning and some gusty winds will be possible – but no severe weather expected. read more

Heat Advisory Through Tuesday Night, Relief Coming

“…the last time we reached 100 two days in a row (at BNA) was just last year on August 24 and 25. If we get there today and tomorrow, that would be 3 days in a row. The last time we did that, we did it twice in one year: July and August 1990.” – NWS Nashville read more
