No rain chances until Thursday but could be a legit soaking for us – thanks to Potential Tropical Cyclone Six which should become Francine later tonight or tomorrow.
Deets are still fuzzy, but rainfall totals in the 1 – 3 inch range look possible from Thursday – Saturday. More details later on when things become clearer.
Relatively strong north winds (gusts up to 20 – 25 mph possible) have ushered in some cooler and drier air for us. Dewpoints are down in the mid 40s and high temps will comfortably be in the upper 70s.
A quick shower or lil’ storm is possible tonight, something to keep in mind as you head to FNL or your outdoor Friday evening plans.
HRRR model gives its’ best guess below. We’ll be covering anything noteworthy on X/IG. No severe storms expected but can’t rule out some lightning and heavy rain. Some of us will stay dry!
Both of our counties remain in Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought conditions – and things aren’t expected to improve much anytime soon with us being stuck in a dryyyyy pattern.
The GFS and Euro ensembles continue to suggest maybe 0.3 – 0.4″ of rain in the next 10 days. That ain’t gonna cut it.
“Not a whole lot going on in the weather world for Middle TN over the next week.” was the opening line in the AFD this afternoon. Boring is good in the weather world.
High temps will be a bit toasty until Saturday/Sunday, when we get a hint of Pumpkin Spice.
Although most of us saw some decent rain this past weekend, we probably won’t see any more drought-busting rain for a while.
Can’t rule out a quick shower for a couple of folks today due to a trough moving thru, but most of us will stay dry.
Temperatures will be quite average this work week, with high temps in the mid 80s. Humidity will be in check for the most part.
Another taste of fall looks to arrive next weekend, with high temps around 80° – lows getting down into the 50s.
Showers/storms in the vicinity should slowly diminish over the next few hours.
Could be wrong, but this run of the HRRR think FNL and any other outdoor plans should be rain-free. Having some rain gear handy won’t hurt though.
BNA has yet again reached 100° today, making it three straight days of 100° – the first time we’ve done that since July 2012.
The daily high temp for BNA is 101° today, and we may very well tie or break that.
As of 2pm, BNA has already reached 101° and we may end up getting a few degrees hotter. The daily record for Aug. 28 is 103° set in 1990 – we’ll see how close we get.
Our forecast high for tomorrow is 101° – if we do get there, it’ll be the first time since July 2012 that BNA has reached 100° three consecutive days.
