Tonight – Rain Gone, Still Humid
After a lot of rain early this afternoon (officially 0.63″ at the airport), we should be relatively dry tonight. “Little if any [rain] redevelopment is expected,” says our NWS.
Tuesday – Rain & Possibly-Severe Thunderstorms – High 81°
Another round of extensive showers and storms will spread eastward out of the Plains into Middle Tennessee. Because weather models differ significantly on the timing of the rain/storms, there is a lot of uncertainty on how strong the storms will be.
Current Temps and Radar
Sunday will be a bit warmer (high 86°) than Saturday, a little more humid, and definitely windier.
With warmer, humid air arriving, we can’t rule out a shower or two; however, most of the day should be rain-free. Models are introducing a chance of rain after dark, but I would not be concerned about any outdoor plans.
Current Temps and Radar
Chilly tonight. Overnight, we will ease in to the low to mid 50°s.
Saturday will be awesome. Low humidity and sunshine galore. High 82°.
Sunday should still be pretty awesome. Models are now keeping the weather shenanigans away until Monday. Sunday will be more humid relative to Saturday, but totally tolerable. High 84°.

Tonight – Storms Gone…For Now
A decent little piece of energy shot across both counties later this afternoon, prompting, at least at the time I write this, two severe thunderstorm warnings to our east. There has been some thunderstorm wind damage in Sumner Co. Those storms continue to race away from us.

Mother’s Day – Record Heat? With A Small Chance of Rain – High 90°
Nothing says record heat on Mother’s Day better than this GIF:
It’ll be hot and a little bit humid today. Little pieces of energy lifting from the lower Mississippi Valley will approach, but there is a strong upper-level area of high pressure in place which should deflect the approaching energy, reducing our rain chances to around 10%.
Current Temps and Radar
Tuesday morning looks cool (upper 40°s), but we will warm to 60° by noon and top out around 68°.
Rain is on the way Tuesday evening.
A precise arrival time cannot be reliably known. Currently we think the rain will begin around 7 PM, as shown above. You may end up chilly and soggy, but there’s hope to get in your soccer/baseball/other games Tuesday night.
