Not So Rainy, but Maybe a Bit Stormier Sunday

Current Temps and Radar

Saturday – Off & On Rain Continuing

About a quarter inch of rain has fallen off and on through mid-afternoon.

Rain will be mostly “off” tonight, but we expect more light rain to fall later this afternoon and tonight.

I would still go to the Sounds game.

Just bring an umbrella. You may need it.

I’d be surprised if we saw a thunderstorm, or really any lightning, tonight.

Sunday – Smaller Rain Chances, But Better Storm Chances – High 85°

Not expecting nearly as much rain Sunday as we will get on Saturday.

However, increased instability is expected, so we may be able to get a few thunderstorms to fire off inside any rain that develops. So, the odds of you getting wet Sunday are lower than they are today, but we have a better thunderstorm chance Sunday than we do today.

Sunday is definitely the better day this weekend to be outside.

Monday – Rain & Storms – High 83°

A cold front will approach Middle Tennessee.

Monday morning and afternoon, we should see showers and maybe a few thunderstorms develop.

More rain is expected; probably enough to rain out whatever you have going outside on Monday night, but check back with us tomorrow and Monday morning on that.

Rain from Saturday morning through Monday night should total between 1″ and 1.5″:

We are not expecting any organized or widespread severe weather Monday, but a few strong thunderstorms are certainly possible.

The cold front is expected to arrive Monday night and clear us out.
