Not a bad Friday evening. Dewpoints are a bit muggy but temp wise not half bad. We’ll stay dry overnight.
HRRR model (above) thinks rain/storm chances return Saturday AM, lasting thru the afternoonish, conveniently leaving us with a dry Saturday PM. Not worried about severe weather, but a strong storm or two with some gusty winds and lightning cannot be ruled out. When thunder roars, go indoors.

Afternoon and evening looks dry for the most part, maybe a few stray showers but NBD.

It sure is nice to not be under a Heat Advisory today. Temps “only” in the upper 80’s/low 90’s.
Humidity won’t be as bad the next couple of days, will make being outside more bearable.
Another day, another Heat Advisory from noon to 7pm. Heat index values up to 108° possible.
We’ll be hoping for a shot at some rain/storms this afternoon to cool us off.
HRRR model (above) thinks very little activity will pop-up near us this afternoon, likely leaving us to bake. Any lightning delays for the concert look unlikely, but you just never know exactly where these will pop-up at.
Heat Advisory today from noon to 7p. If you have anything you just have to get done outside, I’d get it done before noon. Heat index values up to 109° possible.
This I Promise You…heat exhaustion has no mercy. Take it easy outdoors, inside is always better. If you just absolutely have to be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade and drink plenty of water. Look before you lock, never leave a child or pet inside a car, even if it is “just for a few minutes.” Cracking your windows doesn’t count either.

Actual air temps in the upper 90’s + dewpoints in the low 70’s = heat index values of 105° + likely.
“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never (!!!) be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.“
Low rain chances for the next 7 days. But we know how yesterday ended for some…weather gonna weather whether you like it or not.
