Another Radar (refresh page to update)

It’s been a while.
A line of showers and thunderstorms will move into both counties tonight.
HRRR puts the ETA of the main line around 8 PM. This is just a model, it’s not the radar (see above):
Current Radar
Temperatures warm to the low 80s around the area with some low clouds developing as we approach lunchtime. There is a surface cold front on the way that will pass through late this evening.
Current Radar
Our quiet weather weekend will continue tonight. South winds will prevent us from reaching the 40°s overnight.
South winds will still be pumping in warm air. Short-range regional models (HRRR, NAM4) hint at a brief spit of light showers in the morning.
Current Radar
Overnight, we hit 45°.
Just a few clouds, no rain, no humidity. Great football weather.

Southwest winds will increase through the day, blowing in clouds Monday afternoon and evening. Conditions aloft might even support an occasional thunderstorm or two as a weak wave stretches across Middle Tennessee.
Current Radar
Bit chilly tonight.

Overnight, and into the wee hours of Sunday morning, we’ll reach the 40°s.

Clear skies overnight, radiational cooling = early morning fog likely, in the usual spots.
Current Radar
At 5:22 AM, the back edge of the rain was finally clearing out:

Infrared satellite shows the clouds will be clearing out today, too.

Winds that were south at 5 MPH at 8:53 AM turned north at 8 MPH by 3:53 PM (by then, 0.43″ of rain fell). The cold front is here.
Current Radar
Another warm and muggy day is in store for us. Tonight looks like a mess. Hey, at least it is Friday!
The high temperature today will be 81° as clouds arrive later this afternoon.
Why? Well, an upper level shortwave will be swinging through today into Saturday morning. At the surface there is cold front beginning to make its way into Tennessee. This frontal boundary is expected to sweep through tonight, and it’s the reason it going to rain tonight.
Current Radar
Oh yes, another warm and humid evening…

We’ll be keeping an eye on the rain to our south and east, but don’t plan on it messing with your plans tonight.
