And just like that those afternoon showers decided to rain on our parade. We still could see a few more pop-up storms in and around the Nashville area through the remainder of the afternoon. Main concerns with these are heavy rainfall and damaging wind gusts.

Any lingering shower from this afternoon shouldn’t last much into the evening after sunset. Partly cloudy skies should follow through the night.
The NAM 4 shows us getting some scattered showers during the late overnight hours (after midnight) but seems to be the only model with this thinking. Worth the mention, but we will wait to see what the HRRR has to say about that happening later this afternoon.

For the most part, expecting clear to partly cloudy skies through the evening. The early evening time frame should remain rain-free. As we head into the late evening, early early AM hours we have a very slim chance of seeing some showers.

Update: Mother nature has changed her mind, again. Showers are moving in from the west, and are expected to arrive later this evening. The heaviest of this rain will remain along and north of interstate 40. Otherwise, temps will drop through the 70s overnight.

Great night across the board for those wanting to start the weekend early. For those heading out to catch the Sounds game tonight, temps should stick in the low 80s to upper 70s in the early evening before dipping into the 60s after midnight.
