Tonight: Slight Chance of Showers – Temps Into the Mid-70s
Any lingering shower from this afternoon shouldn’t last much into the evening after sunset. Partly cloudy skies should follow through the night.
The NAM 4 shows us getting some scattered showers during the late overnight hours (after midnight) but seems to be the only model with this thinking. Worth the mention, but we will wait to see what the HRRR has to say about that happening later this afternoon.
Tuesday: Hot, Maybe See Some Showers – Wake Up 75° High 94°
Another hot one in store for us on Tuesday. Temps expected to reach into the mid 90s with those dew points in the muggy low 70s.
Luckily we *may* get some relief from the heat from a weak boundary that is expected to push through our area. This boundary will bring in “better” chances to see some showers and thunderstorms.
Timing of when these showers may roll through is still TBD. Models seem to be leaning towards an afternoon arrival, but we should have a better time frame by tonight. There does remain a chance of these showers/storms through the majority of the day, however, any rain we do see should exit by Tuesday evening.
Extended Outlook: Hot N’ Humid
A high pressure has been sitting to our West through the majority of the week and will continue to do so (and strength) through Friday. With that high pressure, we will experience a constant cycle of mid 90s and dew point temps in the low 70s aka really hot.
If you have any plans to be outside through the week, take breaks often and be sure to stay hydrated. The heat doesn’t mess around.
Those afternoon shower chances return by Friday and our rain chances will increase through the weekend.
