The Wind
Let’s talk first about the wind…and oh my the wind. We are currently under a wind advisory through midnight tonight.
Sustained winds to start the day will be around 15-20 mph. This will increase to about 20-25 mph by the afternoon. Now these are just sustained winds. We could potentially see wind gusts upwards of 40 mph through the day. This wind is expected long before any stormy weather (which would bring even faster wind speeds).

We’ve seen a lot of records set this year, but this may be the cherry on top. With our freeze this past Sunday, this is Nashville’s longest growing season on record. Nashville went 259 days (Mar. 5-Nov. 20) between freezes according to our local National Weather Service Office.

Timing of showers/thunderstorms
As of right now, most models are trending towards a 10 PM ish or later arrival for the majority of the showers.

Another warm, but luckily not humid day in store for Middle TN. Sunny skies will prevail to start the day, but clouds will continue to move in as we go through the day.

For those wanting to see the supermoon tonight, there is some hope that you still may be able to. Winds through the day will try to push all of the haze out of our area. The bad news is that clouds are expected to build in. Depending how quickly the clouds move in, there may be a little period of time to get a good glimpse of the moon.

It is going to be a chilly morning. Frost advisory expired for us at 8 AM, but you still may notice some frost on your car as you head out the door this morning. In addition to this frost, there is the possibility of seeing some dense fog during your AM commute. If you come across it, be sure to use caution.

We have been placed under a Frost Advisory for tomorrow morning. So if you have anything still living that you want to stay that way, you may need to bring it inside or cover it before tonight.

Temps will cool slightly through the evening dropping into the upper 50s by 9 PM. You may want a light jacket if you have any outdoor plans. If you’re planning to stay inside and watch Monday Night Football or something, that’s cool too.
