The overall severe threat is not high. In fact, it’s just a “general thunderstorm” risk. However, as we saw earlier this evening, small hail and strong winds are very possible with some storms.

After a warm afternoon, clouds are starting to build back in this evening.
While it has been a nice day, there have been some subtle things happening today that will be big players in our upcoming weather pattern.

The Tornado Watch was cancelled early, the rain has cleared out, aaaaaand….the wind advisory has been cancelled!
The cold front that is to blame for today’s severe weather has moved through, and temps will drop into the 40°s.

Today – Marginal/Slight Risk of Severe T-storms – High: 79°

Clouds have increased this evening ahead of an approaching front. Temperatures will drop to the mid 40°s overnight. (No Freeze Watches, Warnings, or other silly stuff. Woohoo!)

The HRRR model below keeps any rain away until the evening. Even then, just spotty showers are likely. The NAM agrees.
More clouds move in today, but we’ll still see enough sunshine to warm us up to the mid 70°s this afternoon. Get out and enjoy it.
