Getting Close to Freezing Tonight, Showers Monday Evening, Rainy Wednesday/Thanksgiving Possible

Another cold night ahead of us, some places will possibly get below freezing.

A jacket will be needed for any plans Sunday morning, but temps will recover very nicely with highs getting into the mid 60s by the afternoon. Highs Monday will get close to 70°. Looks like that’ll be our warmest day we have for a while.

In regard to Thanksgiving, there is still a good bit of model variance.

Some models think the majority of Thanksgiving will be dry; others think showers hang around the majority of the day. Too soon to know for sure.

But for now, this tweet sums up current thinking well.

We’ll keep y’all posted on the updates. We should be able to talk more specifics in the coming days as model data becomes clearer.

Long range data suggest we’ll get our first hard freeze (28° or colder for at least one hour) sometime in late November/early December.
