A low pressure system currently located in northern Mississippi will slowly move north, bringing some meh rain chances.
The HRRR model (above) shows the dodgin’ and weavin’ will be done during the morning hours thru the afternoon. Evening and night plans look good ✅✅.
Clouds will move in as rain chances slowly increase. The morning sounding from BNA showed a whole lotta dry air, so it’ll take a little for rain to make it’s way down.
These on and off chances will continue through the evening. No lightning is expected.
One more day of pure sunshine. Enjoy it because unfortunately rain chances make a return.
This “chance of rain” tomorrow does not look like much. The majority of the day will be nice.
The HRRR model (above) shows a band of light rain moving north around dinner time tomorrow. Our air will be very dry and it’ll take a while for it to make it to the ground. This does not look like it would rain out any games.
We’re still on the warm and dry pattern, and will stay that way through Thursday. It’s National Pet Day, perfect weather for taking your dog, cat, lizard, etc. on a walk.
Rain chances return Friday and look to stick around for the weekend. Details are still fuzzy right now, but no severe weather is expected. The rain also doesn’t look like the washout kind.
Today through Thursday, no rain chances, warming up a little bit everyday. Yup, that’s it.

The clouds and rain are gone, the sun is out, and we are looking at a beautiful day ahead. This is prime egg hunting weather.
Monday thru Thursday will be very similar, just a few degrees warmer each day. No rain chances until maybe Friday, but even those are low as of right now. We are nearing, historically, peak severe weather season, and a quiet week this time of the year is a blessing, or grace?
Rain is mostly confined to our southeast, but some stray showers aren’t wanting to leave. HRRR model (below) continues to show chances of these stray showers hanging around all day.

The Flood Watch originally set to expire at 1pm today has been canceled.
Rain will continue throughout the day, as shown below by the HRRR model, but no flooding is expected.
Can’t totally rule out some showers on Friday and Saturday, as the front is stalled just to our south.
The severe threat is over. The Severe Thunderstorm Watch originally set to expire at 9pm has been canceled. You can tweet any damage you might’ve had (hopefully not) with #tspotter.
Our focus now moves to an overnight threat for heavy rain. A Flood Watch for both of our counties will begin at 11pm tonight and go thru 1pm Thursday.
