We have been removed from the tornado watch, and essentially all of the storms have run off to our east. While we still can not rule out a shower or two through the evening, we should not see any type of severe weather.
A tornado watch has been issued for both Davidson and Williamson Counties until 9 PM tonight.

Severe weather is possible today, although the risk seems to be shifting further east.
A higher risk to the east doesn’t mean you should ignore the risk here. Risk area may be wrong. Storms don’t care where we draw these lines.
Storms moving in tonight have a low chance of becoming severe this evening. *If* they do, large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats. The Storm Prediction Center sees this as a low end threat and has placed us in probability of 5% of hail/damaging winds.
After the active weather pattern we’ve seen this past week, we will finally be getting a few pleasant weather days.

Overnight, the Storm Prediction Center removed us from the “Moderate Risk” (4 of 5) and fell back to an “Enhanced Risk” (3 out of 5), and now, this morning at 8 AM, down to “Slight Risk” (2 out of 5) for damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes today.
Expect a few showers, and we can’t completely rule out lightning, but expect a quiet night ahead.
While we could see a few lingering showers in the early AM on Tuesday, the majority of the showers should be pushed to our east and out of our area. Expecting for gradual clearing to occur tomorrow, but the majority of the clouds will remain over our area.
Timing of Severe Weather: 2 PM Through 10 PM
This ETA is broad/wide because of significant uncertainty. The models do not agree. Most, however, have 2 rounds of storms.
Round 1: Mid-to-late afternoon, as storms cluster and move into Middle TN from north MS. Do not look for a specific timing, like 3:30 PM vs 5:30 PM, because the risk of misleading you with a specific time is too high.
Expecting for a fairly average day today to finish up the work week. We could see the sun at some points through the day, but we do have a blanket of clouds to block out the full on sunshine.
Current satellite imagery shows the majority of the southeastern U.S. experiencing this cloud cover.
After rain the past few days, the remainder of the work week appears to stay fairly dry.

Overnight lows will drop into the low 40s, so you may want a jacket before heading out to any plans that you have for the evening. For those warm weather fans, you are in luck; high temperatures will continue to climb each day for the remainder of the week.
