Unsettled Next Few Days

Continued Storm Chances This Weekend
Let’s see what this morning’s run of the GFS has to show for more storms into the weekend:

Expect much of the same hot conditions for the next couple of days, with the exception of Thursday and beyond, when temperatures could drop into the 80s due to cloud cover. We will start to feel the effects of additional moisture as dew points rise into the 60s. A chance for a spot shower or storm will start Thursday and continue into Saturday.
Better rainĀ and storm opportunities will arrive aroundĀ midnight tonight.
Latest HRRR Model Loop
There’s that slew of rain! High resolution models are in fairly good agreement with the arrival of 11PM-1AM of heavier rain and embedded storms.
Rain chances will be low as we get “omega blocked”, or caught between two low pressure systems — one west and one to the east.
Temperatures will moderate through the 70s and 80s, making for a comfortable Sunday and early start to the week. Storm chances reenter the picture by Thursday, and especially Friday as disturbances break down our nice weather.
GFS Loop 7PM Wednesday Through Saturday Morning
A fairly strong low pressure system will bring us the chance for showers and a couple thunderstorms starting tomorrow after sunset and continuing on-and-off through early Saturday. TheĀ best rain chances are Wednesday night through Friday around noon, while we are in close proximity to the center of low pressure. No severe weather is anticipated, as instability or “CAPE”, is expected to be low.
A wind advisory will likely be needed for the day on Sunday, with gusts over 40 mph possible. A developing line of showers and thunderstorms will be pushing into western Tennessee by mid-afternoon, making their way in our direction by late evening.
