A low pressure disturbance originating from the Texas will begin to impact Middle Tennessee after noon as it moves northeast. The National Weather Service believes that the chance for showers and thunderstorms will ramp up after 2 PM. Below is what the HRRR Model is showing at 3 PM.

Expect the rain and storms to continue as we head into the evening and overnight hours.

The overall severe threat is not high. In fact, it’s just a “general thunderstorm” risk. However, as we saw earlier this evening, small hail and strong winds are very possible with some storms.
