Between Two Systems

Current Temps and Radar

We expect rain late tonight. Look for temps in the 60°s.

Wednesday – Rain Possible All Day; More Likely at Night – Wake Up 55°, High 73°

Morning rain is possible, but the better chance for rain is Wednesday night.

The atmosphere may have enough potential energy and shear to fire off a few minor thunderstorms, but nothing severe.

Thursday – Rainy, Not Sure How Much or When – Wake Up 59°, High 73°

NWS thinks Thursday will be a lot like today: rain early and late, with a break in between.

Considerable uncertainty on this remains — the primary influencer of our weather is an upper level low pressure center, but the weather models don’t agree on its location/timing.

Friday Through The Weekend

The aforementioned upper level low is rudderless. The models can’t figure out where it’s going, or when. Thus, anyone with confidence on rain amounts/timing this weekend is either ignorant or educatedly guessing*; however, the general pattern is wet (but not a washout). As NWS puts it: “it could be this time next week before we see any appreciable period of dry weather.”
