6:30 a.m. Update

Last night’s RAP and NAM models were right.

Officially in Nashville, we reached 33 degrees just before 4 a.m., and before then in Williamson County.

Freezing rain fell off and on for about 6 or 7 hours, depending on where you live. read more

As you can see, there’s plenty of rain moving through Middle Tennessee. It’s rain because the air the rain is falling through is above freezing. read more

“For Nashville metro area . . . temperatures are mostly in the 33-35 degree range . . . with the freezing rain slowly approaching.

“There have been a few reports of ice forming at the highest elevations of west of I-65. read more
