So far today, most of the rain have been missing us to our south. I think this will be a common theme throughout this evening but can’t totally rule out a quick shower for some later.
Yesterday we discussed the possibility of an overnight round of showers/storms. This still hold true; however, there’s a low-end chance a storm or storm is strong to severe.
The Storm Prediction Center has introduced a 5% chance of damaging straight-line winds, along with a 2% chance of a tornado, both valid within 25 miles. We are not included in any hail probabilities.

Timing looks to (unfortunately) be overnight tonight.
The latest HRRR model gives us a timeframe of around 1-3a early Wednesday morning. This is subject to change.

To reiterate, this is a very low-end threat, but that also doesn’t mean we should look past it. While there’s a plenty of limiting factors, such as very weak instability (storm fuel), ample shear will be in place.
I don’t see a need to stay up all night for this but certainly have a way to wake up if a warning is issued for you. Make sure your Wireless Emergency Alerts are *on*, along with your weather radio or wake-me-up app. Do not rely on sirens to wake you up.
We’ll be watching this and will keep y’all updated on all of our socials.
The first half of the day on Wednesday should be dry before additional showers and storms are possible later that afternoon/evening.
The Storm Prediction Center does have us outlooked with a 5% chance of damaging straight-line winds, but this largely depends on if sufficient moisture/instability can make it this far north – which models don’t think happens right now.
In fact, if the latest HRRR model holds true, we’d just see some scattered showers in the afternoon/evening.

Of course, this could change and we’ll be watching for any trends. Not the best news for Bruno, but it could certainly be worse. Ponchos are definitely a good play here. Hopefully there can be some clearing and you can end up talking to the moon.
Expected rainfall totals from today and Wednesday have come down a bit, more or less around 1″ is expected. Better than nothing to help alleviate our drought conditions.

Thursday thru Saturday looks dry with cool mornings and warm afternoons. Rain chances return on Sunday.
