At the time of this writing, rain is knocking on the door of both Davidson and Williamson Counties. See latest radar here.
The morning weather balloon in Nashville showed some pretty dry air in the mid-levels, which means the air will pick up some of the moisture the clouds will be putting down. Translation: scattered showers have been a little slower to get here.
Rain’s coming though, no doubt about that. With our rainfall deficit continuing, we’re hoping to bank an inch or two of needed rain. Wouldn’t be surprised if rainfall overachieved in some neighborhoods, but the forecast for 1-2 inches of rain looks pretty good.
Some Other Forecast Highlights
-No severe weather is expected.
-Some thunderstorms are possible this evening and overnight. Some could produce some gusty non-severe winds.
-Rain exits Sunday night/early Monday morning.
-Next chance of rain is mid-week, with a modest cool-down.
