As of 1:15p BNA has measured 4.05″ of rain and counting, similar rainfall totals have fallen across our two counties. Thankfully, the rainfall rates have been manageable, and we have only seen a couple of instances of water over roads.
Rain will continue throughout the evening, becoming more scattered in nature tho. Rain gear will be a must-need for any football games or other outdoor plans. No severe concerns and no lightning is expected.
An additional one to two inches of rain is possible, but thanks to the relatively slow rainfall rates, we should avoid any major issues – although there could be some ponding in low-lying areas. Turn around, don’t drown!
Our Wind Advisory is still in effect until 7am Saturday. So far, BNA has had a peak gust of 36 mph, and more strong gusts are possible, especially this afternoon and evening.
Gusts up to 40mph will be possible, we could see some trees fall and maybe a couple of power outages, but no major issues are expected.
Additional scattered showers will be possible Saturday and Sunday, they’ll be on/off. No severe weather, and no lightning is expected. Pilgrimage, other outdoor activities seem good to go, rain gear and shoes that you don’t particularly care if they get mud all over them seem like a good idea.
Low rain chances will stick around for Monday, before we begin to dry out on Tuesday.
