What’s left of Beryl is a low end severe threat for us. SPC calls it a 5% chance of a tornado occurring within 25 miles of you. Lower chances SE of Nashville.

There is also a low risk of damaging straight-line winds with storms that occur where you are.

Timing
17z HRRR shows the threat of storms ending after 10 pm as a cool front moves through.

Action Items
Have a way to get warnings until about 10:00 pm tonight.
Be close to shelter. If a tornado spins up, it may do so quickly. It also may not be on the ground long. Warning them can be tricky. Be suspect of most cells that appear on radar.
There may not be much, if any, lightning in rotating cells today. Don’t use that as an indicator of a “storm’s” intensity.
Aside from the storms, it’ll be hot. We’ve hit 95 so far at BNA (as of 12:53 pm). Drink plenty of water and take breaks.
Dry Weather Returns
After today, there are no rain chances in the forecast, at least through Monday. While temps fall off tomorrow, they’ll creep back up into wut the heck territory by early next week.

Also, a new US Drought Monitor will be issued this Thursday, but we’re currently in Abnormally Dry territory. Not expecting improvement to this map when the new one drops. Crispy grass and dry crops look to continue.
