Three Frozen Mornings Incoming

  • Protect plants and pipes.
  • Freezing mornings Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Temps should drop into the upper 20°s for most of us.
  • Coldest Wednesday morning.

A Freeze Warning is in effect officially from 1 AM to 9 AM Tuesday. Coldest temps will happen around sunrise.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

NWS-Nashville.

This’ll be the last Freeze Warning issued this fall/winter. It’s still gonna freeze many times, but “[s]ince the forecast area should experience a hard freeze tonight…according to local directives don’t have to issue any additional freeze products.”

Freeze Warnings are just for the first hard freeze.

Drought continues. No rain this week.

Not just a local problem. The Mississippi River is approaching record-low levels. It’s dry in many spots.

  • Our drought is to the low Mississippi. The Tennessee River drains into the Mississippi.

Temps will rebound this weekend.
